Before we say good-bye and good riddance to 2021, I wanted to look back at a few highlights—those things that mattered most to me and why.

Today, I’m spotlighting my family’s big move!

After talking about it for a couple of years, the big move BACK to Los Angeles finally happened. Officially, my husband made the big switch before I did. His job required him to be there ahead of the family, so we made the best of it.

For six months, my daughter and I stumbled along without him. Would I recommend it to anyone? NO! It’s too easy to get used to the sleeping apart, planning meals for just two, etc. He got used to having space and doing things the way he chose. Our reunion has been a lot of getting accustomed to one another again. Some of its been challenging, but most of it has been fun.

If anyone tells you driving across country is fun, they lied or was comatose the entire time. It’s a long ride with stretches of nothing worth seeing.

Once we got to Los Angeles and had a chance to rest up, we headed down to the South Bay. Our daughter was born in Torrance, California. To be honest, we didn’t do much outside of the beach cities.

We’re still getting settled. To save a little money so that we could move back to our favorite area, we chose to finish off the lease on my husband’s temporary apartment. Yes, it’s small (I work on the kitchen table), and the streets in downtown Culver City are a nightmare to drive on. But we’re good.

Tomorrow, I’ll be looking forward to 2022!
