A WRITER’S SOUL: My Weekly Goals & Such

Eyes of the Universe, abstract environmental backgrounds

Happy Sunday! I had an interesting week with fatigue riding my back. I’ll have to remember never to schedule another road trip following a signing event. My body did not like the quick turn around. But my daughter is back in school and she’s delighted.

Let’s see how I did last week with one less body in the house.

1) LAST WEEK’S GOALS:

*Continue revising Delivering Sin by Nadirah Foxx. Revise 6 more chapters and include the edited chapters from the trip.

I finished the chapters from the trip plus another two.

2) THIS WEEK’S GOALS:

*Finish the revisions on Delivering Sin by Nadirah Foxx. I have seven more chapters to go. The plan is to tackle two chapters a day which should have me finishing by Thursday or Friday.

*Once I’ve finished the revisions, I plan to return to Finding Me. I’ve set aside the month of September to complete the rough draft.

3) A FAVORITE LINE OR PASSAGE FROM MY STORY THAT SUMS UP WHAT I WROTE/REVISED:

Vodka in shot glasses on rustic wood background

This line comes from Jake Carter. He has a problem with alcohol and tries to justify his addiction by saying the situation with Sinatra stresses him out. He’s slowly coming to the realization that he’s weak and the only one to blame for his issue.

4) THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE I FACED LAST WEEK:

Recovery. I really need to find a better way to recuperate after road trips. Fibromyalgia makes my fatigue linger. I also had to deal with pain throughout the week.

5) SOMETHING I LOVE ABOUT MY WIP:

Delivering Sin… I love the revisions. I’ve added more to some of the scenes. There’s more emotion and more sizzle.

How I’m feeding my soul this week…

I’m reaching the midway point in Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros. Normally, I’d be further along but those few pages almost broke me. Lots of emotion in just a short span.

That’s all for now.
