Happy Sunday! I’m back from Once Upon A Book 2017! It was another wonderful event. Stacey Rourke puts on a great event for both readers and authors. I’ll be back again next year. How about some pictures?
Now let’s see how I met last week’s goals.
1) LAST WEEK’S GOALS:
*Continue revising Delivering Sin by Nadirah Foxx. A modest goal this week since I leave for OUAB on Thursday–I’m looking to revise four more chapters. Done! I got my requirement met plus I edited five more chapters on the flight to Michigan. I just need to put those changes into the actual manuscript.
*Continue writing the draft for Finding Me. I’m looking to add four more chapters. I didn’t get anything done.
2) THIS WEEK’S GOALS:
*Continue revising Delivering Sin by Nadirah Foxx. Revise 6 more chapters and include the edited chapters from the trip.
All focus this coming week will be on finishing the revision since the deadline is approaching. If there’s any more time, I’ll work on Finding Me.
3) A FAVORITE LINE OR PASSAGE FROM MY STORY THAT SUMS UP WHAT I WROTE/REVISED:
“You don’t get it. You’re none of those things to me.” He touches his forehead to mine. “I wish you could see what I see. I wish you’d realize you’re beautiful, inside and out. You’re a dreamer only wanting to escape the life your dad left behind.” [Jake Carter, Delivering Sin]
This scene takes place when the two spirits reunite in the Underworld.
4) THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE I FACED LAST WEEK:
Prepping Anxiety. I’m the worst when it comes to travelling. I hate doing it, but flying is the killer. I hate having to figure out my luggage (what can go and what can’t). My main thing is the desire to be comfortable. I don’t feel comfortable in a crowd of strangers in a tight surrounding. It’s something to get used to.
5) SOMETHING I LOVE ABOUT MY WIP:
Delivering Sin… I love my book description! It came to me in the shower (of all places).
What do you think?
How I’m feeding my soul this week…
I’m reading two different books—Saving Bliss by Rachael Brownell and Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros (a tear jerker in just the first few pages).
That’s all for now.
