Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I spent mine sick on the couch. I haven’t been sick for three years so, this knocked me out.
Let’s see how I did with my goals before the sickness from hell came to my gate.
1) LAST WEEK’S PROJECTIONS:
*Complete character development for novella. Didn’t touch.
*Finish first round revisions on Rebel. Finished.
*Finish second round of revisions on Cursed Hearts. Finished.
*Continue writing rough draft for Blessed Hearts. Completed 3,306 words.
2) THIS WEEK’S PROJECTIONS:
*Continue with rough draft for Blessed Hearts.
*Work on character development for novella.
3) A FAVORITE LINE OR PASSAGE FROM MY STORY THAT SUMS UP WHAT I WROTE/REVISED:
Nobody needs this much attitude on any night. One of the many reasons why Lilin avoid love. It comes with too many hoops to jump through. Half the time you don’t know whether it’s worth the aggravation. It’s easier to just take care of your needs and move on. [Cash, Blessed Hearts]
This passage really sums up Cash. He holds firm to the belief that incubi and succubi can’t fall in love. Throughout the story readers will learn his many reasons why love is unattainable for his kind.
4) THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE I FACED LAST WEEK: Knowing when to say stop. I tried, unsuccessfully, to fight past sickness and keep working. I had issues with focusing, but I kept pushing. Eventually it hit me Friday. The headache from hell caught me. I had no choice but to stop. By Saturday I was sick.
5) SOMETHING I LOVE ABOUT MY WIP: I’m loving the character of Cash. He came off as a bit of an asshole in Cursed Hearts. Now we’re learning there is depth, a lot of layers to him.
News this week…
No news this week.
How I’m feeding my soul this week…
I’m slowly recovering from whatever it was that knocked me out. I have a few books I’m reading. No plans to finish any this week.
That’s it for this week.
