RAMBLINGS: Inside A Writer’s Mind

How’s everyone this Friday? In the coastal Southeast, people are buckling down for a hurricane. Around my little neck of the woods it’s gloomy, perfect weather for reading or writing or both.

I won’t bombard you with a long post today. I just wanted to share where my rambling mind went yesterday. Actually, it started earlier in the week. Cursed Hearts, one of my WIPs, is slated to be a duology. Well, it’s already given me a spin-off–something I’m calling Lorelei’s School of Deviltry. It’s all about a boarding school for young demons and other things that go bump in the night. After all, somebody needs to teach them how to effectively scare humans. LSD is slated for 2018.

I did this in Photoshop yesterday. Cool, huh? Slowly, I’ve been learning how to manipulate images in the software. Yesterday, I stumbled across how to manipulate text. I’m a loooooong way off from being an expert. But I love how this turned out.

If you’re a writer, what do you do when new ideas present themselves? I’d love to hear from you!

On another topic…. It’s September and time to get ready for “Embrace the Darkness 2”, my two night paranormal event on Facebook.

Embrace the Darkness 2

I’m looking for authors of paranormal, urban fantasy, and horror to fill spots. The event is October 21 and 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (EDT). Slots are 20 minutes long with one 30 minute slot available each night. I have three available slots open on the first night (5:00, 5:20, and 7:20). The second night is still fairly open (slots available from 4:20 through 7:40 and 8:20 and 8:40). Interested? Send me a comment or email to Let me know day and preferred time (with an alternate time).

Have a great day!
