Luc’s relationship and money woes continue in episode 2 of French Kiss for Hire…
Sensitive and sexy Frenchman, Luc Du’mont, is living the American dream. He’s spent the last four years at university on an acting scholarship. Now, with graduation behind him he’s ready to make his big Hollywood splash.
A debut that has to happen before his student visa expires in two months. Otherwise, he’ll be shipped home to France and all of his acting opportunities will sail with him.
But most importantly, he’ll lose any chance at winning blond-bombshell Serena Dawson’s heart. As the sister of his roommate she is strictly off limits. But when Serena approaches Luc for kissing advice, what can Luc say other than pucker up?
The kiss leads to much more than Luc ever imagined. When word gets out about Luc’s lip-locking skills and his unemployment leaves him desperate, Luc finds himself with a new career path: French Kiss for Hire.
Except the only client he wants is the one girl he can’t have.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Luc’s story is becoming more intriguing. Thanks to his roommate, his life went from a slow crawl to a fast-paced marathon.
I wondered if Ben ‘orchestrated events’ to keep Luc away from his little sister. Of course, that made me wonder why does Serena have to be off-limits? Is it a bro code? Females don’t have a no-limits code. Girls are great for asking if a friend has an equally hot brother, cousin, whatever. I’d love to hear what Ben’s reason are for restricting Luc.
I appreciated the author’s mentioning the objectifying of women. It’s something inherent in American society which needs to change. The author is doing a little gender-bending. It’s very refreshing to read the male perspective.
The character of Madison is threatening to become much bigger. I see her becoming Luc’s ally, kind of a female Cyrano de Bergerac.
Episode Two is well-written and flows very well. I can’t wait to read the next episode.
(5 Hands=Excellent; 4 Hands=Pretty Good; 3 Hands=Good)
