Goodreads.com Description: “A trigger pulled. A tragedy realized. A boy displaced. Can Gavin be saved or will he be forever lost?
When Gavin Ferguson reached his breaking point, he dismantled everyone in his wake.
The bullying, the secrets, his father’s death, how he was different, it was all too much to bear. In his mind, the trigger was set and needed to be pulled.
Saving Gavin delves into the now displaced mind of Gavin as he is admitted to Pembroke Psychiatric Center after a tragic event at his high school. The question is can he be saved after such a dismantling trauma or is he forever lost?
*Saving Gavin is companion novelette book 1 in the Evan series, following the Amazon International best-selling full-length novel, Dismantling Evan.”

I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Saving Gavin by Venessa Kimball continues Gavin’s painful struggle with mental illness. It was well-written and researched.
This book brought me joy and heartbreak. Gavin was one of my favorite characters from Dismantling Evan. I felt he was such an extraordinary, sensitive character. Saving Gavin showed that he was remorseful for his actions. I was elated when he finally made a friend. Andy helped Gavin open up. He had someone to share with. My heartbreak came when I learned his illness had reached a new level.
I highly recommend this novelette.
