UtopYA Prep: My Favorite YA/NA Authors

If you’ve followed my blog since day one, you know I’m also a writer. This year I’m attending my very first convention for writers, authors, bloggers and readers. I am excited to meet some of my favorites, pick up books and educate myself as well.

I’m going to blog from UtopYA provided the Internet access is willing.

Today I want to introduce you to some of my favorite Young Adult/New Adult authors and their latest books.

Hopefully I’m not this bad….lol!

First up…Stacey Marie Brown.

I discovered Stacey Marie Brown’s books early this year. Her Darkness series contained a great heroine with a cast of bad boys. I could easily imagine her stories up on the big screen. Her Collector series picks up on an event that happened in the first series. If you love well-written urban fantasy, do yourself a favor and pick up her books. I’d start with the Darkness series.

Book Two of the Collector Series

Next…Heather Sunseri.

Heather Sunseri’s Mndspeak has been around for a little while. I’ll admit it’s on my TBR. The first book I read by her was Emerge. I loved this book. As soon as I finished it, I started looking for more books to read from this author. I loved her descriptions and her characters. You can’t go wrong choosing her books. They are well-written and intriguing. This is another author whose books should grace the big screen.

Book Four in the Mindspeak Series

I can’t forget Heather Hildenbrand.

It was Heather Hildenbrand’s Imitation series that did it for me. I read the book in one day. This was also the first author I’d ever emailed to find out when the next book was due. She jokingly told me to slow down reading. She was still working on the sequel. I’ve purchased Deviation and it’s on my TBR. I’ll be re-reading the first book because it’s that good.

These are just three of my favorites. I’ll be sharing more leading up to UtopYA Con.
